Today, LJP Film Co. is a Cambridge and Suffolk–based video production studio creating cinematic films, branded content and commercial photography for businesses across the UK. We work throughout Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket, Ely and the wider East Anglia region, with clients nationally and internationally.

Our team stays deliberately small and focused, scaling with trusted collaborators when projects need additional hands. Clients value our calm sets, strong visuals and collaborative process — from concept and production to editing, colour and multi-platform delivery.

Our approach is built on a simple belief:
authentic stories, purposeful visuals and content crafted to perform across web, social, advertising and events.

Where it began

Louis James-Parker grew up in Cambridge with a camera always close by. He had a strong photographic eye from an early age - earning an A* in GCSE photography and spending most of his time experimenting with light, movement and composition.

Outside creativity, Louis was heavily into wakeboarding. The timing, balance and focus he developed on the water later shaped the way he shoots. When an injury forced him off the board, that discipline shifted fully into photography and filmmaking. It became a clear turning point — the moment a creative instinct became a future in commercial filmmaking.

He went on to study Photography & Video at the Cambridge School of Art, building the technical foundation and narrative understanding that would evolve into LJP Film Co. Over the last 13 years, Louis has developed a visual style defined by clarity, energy and honest storytelling.
